About Us :

The evolution of FACSE since it’s beginning in 1995, till date, is phenomenal. Although FACSE has emerged as a group that was, initially, purely on a voluntary basis, with organizational membership from professionals who are interested in the cause purported and individuals who care, it clearly stood up to the need of the hour and addressed it.

We do recognize that we have had our limitations, as we have not had a systematic office, no working space, no personnel in the initial years, besides all of us who have been working for FACSE have been employed full-time elsewhere and been devoting time for what we always believed in (i.e. FACSE).

Today, we are glad that many efforts on our part have borne fruit and things have crystallized, our aspirations have been, to a certain extent, fulfilled. We are in the process of setting up a crisis cell to handle the individual cases that are either referred or voluntarily come to us.

We would like to acknowledge the contribution of our core team, “Terre Des Hommes” Germany- India Program, Indian Association for the Promotion of Adoption, Special Cell for Women and Children, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, CRY, YUVA, SAATHI, Sneha Sadan and Prerana for their unconditional support.

We would also like to thank Ms. K. M. Latha, Ms. Vandita Dubey for their immense contribution to our work.

The Marty's case made ripples all over the world. It helped us to see the system very closely. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Shri Shirish Inamdar-Inspector of Police, Social Services Branch, Dr. Manoj Bhatwadekar (Psychaitrist) for prompt action whenever he is needed, Ms. Meena Naik for her innovative use of puppets for creating awareness on CSA, Advocate Pradeep Havnur for all his support and dedication.

We thank AEI-Luxembourg, TDH (Germany) and UNICEF for supporting our work. We would also like to specially mention Ms. Malathi Pillai whose silent support is invaluable.
